Rheda Castle with its extensive gardens and parks was integrated into the "European Garden Heritage" project.
In order to secure or restore the castle gardens in their historically significant components or, at the same time, to qualify them for today's usage requirements, the garden monument conservation treatment of the complex was implemented with funds from urban renewal or the "Garten_Landschaft OstWestfalen-Lippe "Neue Gärten" project, among others.
