Blackbird Fountain Square Lindorf

The Amselbrunnenplatz was created at the beginning of the 80s with the construction of the Bürgerhaus, which turned its back on the square. The area was divided into two halves by a wall slice. The structural change in the
formerly independent community is expressed in the multi-faceted edges of the square. After the removal of the wall, the village square and a section of Oberboihinger Street have been given a calm, cohesive surface of pavement.

A dark runner made of natural stone slabs emphasizes the central path connection in the quarter and opens up the entrance to the community center. A row of slender trees lines the path in the south. Independent elements were developed as furniture, which assert themselves in the heterogeneous context and give the place a new identity. In front of a spatial edge of trees in the hedge cuboid
stands a long bench with a high backrest. The seven-metre long and very narrow stone trough is reminiscent of a cattle trough and receives a slight flowing movement on the water surface. A translucent light stele
indicates the community center.
