The design creates a generous green axis as a north-south connection between Mainauen and Zellenau Süd. The existing green potential around the Zellerau district is optimally linked to the district center. A continuous tree-lined promenade as a clearly identifiable spatial volume within the urban fabric ensures a long-term and sustainable green network and provides the district with a clear backbone. The adjoining open spaces of the fire station cut into the green volume and thus become part of the green, public open space band. A continuous arc is created in the direction of the Carmelite convent. The open space strip begins with the existing new sports facilities on Frankfurter Strasse. A central square forms a central interface on Weißenburgerstraße. It consists of a generous, multifunctional event space and green lawn terraces opposite. Its southern end to the tree-lined promenade is formed by the youth center, which is thus integrated into the green promenade. A loose canopy of trees leads from Frankfurter Strasse northwards to the Main meadows. Tree species such as oak and rowan create a scenic effect. The result is a clearly visible open promenade, the dimensions of which act as a pathway for pedestrians and cyclists alike and is lined with comfortable park benches in sun and shade. The visual relationship to the monastery provides orientation throughout.
